With Cock & Bull, the comic, perverts will be disappointed! As you can see from the picture, the “cock” here is a rooster. I thought I had to point that out.

Forget Tom & Jerry, forget Yogi & Boo Boo bear, forget Itchy & Scratchy. Cock & Bull are by far the best animal duo.

Cock & Bull is the  creation of a pure genius and old hermit born in 1879. It’s surprising to see how an old fart face like him still have some creativity left in him.

The layout of the comic itself is very minimal and simple, which is why it makes it so great. The comic is about a rooster (I’ll use rooster because it still feels weird to weird cock…can’t help it) and a bull on a farm. They are always standing on the same spot (I suspect the rooster being on a box or something or he must be a hell of a huge rooster, lucky chickens…) in a field and observing the day to day events surrounding them.

The rooster and the bull are obviously the two studs of the farm, filled with testosterone and watching over the rest of the farm. They are indeed the two kings over there, think about it,  both a rooster and a bull are the leaders of their own harem. One harem filled with chicken and the other filled with cows.  Note: I wrote that last paragraph late last night and today’s strip was not up; and funny enough, the strip is about the bull being threaten of losing his cow exclusivity!!!

I love the way the two characters are being drawn. The strip is still pretty new (started February 9th), but already they evolved drastically, making them adorable. But beware! Do not piss them off, I’m sure they could be very dangerous (the rooster is a professional pecker you know). Also, “Arnie” has a talent to work on their facial expression, and one of t hem is mad, you can be scared easily by their mad look.

Also, the website itself has some small hidden hilarious stuff, like the footer’s note, the “about” section that says it all about the old and weird author. Okay…. he’s not really old and he’s not really an hermit. The real author is mainly a comics for kids artist and for obvuious reason, he wanted to use a different name for Cock & Bull. If you really need to figure out who he is, just do your homework, he is easy to find *cough!*…twitter…*cough!*.

Finally, quick suggestion I would give: the same as I gave to 1977 author: you really should take the time to design a menu bar of your own to make it look less than the ComicPress template. While ComicPress is an amazing template (hey, I’m using too…), a few differences on your website may attract more people and keep more reader!

Kudos to Cock n Bull!!

Final note: And another thing I just discovered as I’m writing this “review”, the author is actually reading the Drunken Fools! This morning while losing my precious time analyzing my Google Analytics stats, I noticed some hits coming from him! It just made my day! And please, do not think this review is a brown nosing rant by me simply to thank him. I swear I didn’t know about it before I started to write this article. If you don’t believe me, I’ll send the professional pecker to kick your butt.

Cheers!
