Hi there Drunken Fools!

The Fools are back tomorrow but I wanted to take the time to wish you all a very warm Happy New Year 2010!

2009 has been fun, ended with some rough personal issues but hopefully, 2010 will be a great year for all of us.

I would like to thank you for supporting me so far and I hope my new direction towards more storyline content (versus gag-a day type of comic) will please you

Resolutions? I’m not that good at making and keeping resolutions but what I can say is I’m here to stay this year. Making this comic is a hobby and as long as I’ll be having fun making it, the Fools will party all night long!

A few things that will happen this year:

  1. A total website revamp will occur this month
  2. Some new cool features other than the comic (such as beer and wine critics by Spike)

One thing that may happen this year:

  • the 1st Drunken Fools book
    • As we speak, Kurt Sasso, colleague at the Webcomic Planet Collective and host of the great podcast TGT Webcomics, is almost done with the writing of a kick-ass script about Stubby’s origins
    • This story will be included in the book but not on the web (well, not this year for sure)
    • Some elements of the current storyline will be directly linked to this story
    • The book would also include the current storyline and some other stories already published but redrawn and re-written for the book. Some of you may say, don’t do that, keep your old stuff, etc.. don’t get me wrong, I will always cherish my old stuff but I just want to provide a book that will include a lot of exclusive content.
    • The reason why I said “may happened this year” is that it will involve so many work from me. That will mean that I would have to produce at least 2 pages a week (the strip for the web, and 1 page for the book). One bad side of me is that I’m a lazy ass and can be easily demotivated and I also have a very demanding day job (both on time and mental energy). I will need all your help this year :)

Once again all, Happy New Year and see ya tomorrow!

Cheers
- Antoine
