I feel like I’m Han Solo, you’re Chewie, she’s Ben Kenobi and we’re in that F***ed up bar!

On Wednesday , we treated you with our Webcomic Workshop Podcast #25. As usual, we had so much fun doing it and we sureley learned a lot!
Finally, Happy Birthday to US! We have been doing silly stuff for the webcomics community for a year already, and Ken put together a great article about it. Check it out!!

Howdy Drunken Fools!
Once again, thank you to all the Fools who came by my table last weekend at the Montreal Comic Con. It was a blast meeting each and everyone of you! See ya next year!
Here are my [very few] pictures. Please accept my sincere apologizes for the bad quality of the first 10-12 pictures. Somehow I missed the fact my camera wasn’t set on auto-settings and it took really bad pics
Hope you still enjoy some!
Cheers!
- Antoine

Monday’s Pick of the Week:
Todd make a nice post about one of my favorite comic: Edmund Finney’s Quest To Find The Meaning Of Life! You never know what to expect about this comic, and that is exactly why I like it that much.

Tuesday, dawn was giving some tips on how to launch a webcomic, more on the technical side (Web Site, hosting, etc..). Surely something we all wish we had when we started!, please check this out!

On Wednesday , We presented a very special podcast we did live last Saturday (September 10th) at the DigiCon. We start with one of my future comic project from scratch and tried to develop its brand. A MUST!
Finally, on Thursday, speaking of branding, the Dr. Banner was back and decided to get to the basics about creating banners. An Excellent article when you are struggling like me when trying to create a banner!
Cheers!

Monday’s Pick of the Week:
Ken reminded how funny the comic “Company Man” can be. Check this out, and if Ken is convincing you, you would become addicted to this comic!

Tuesday, I was in the spotlight! With my report on my experience on my very first Comic Convention in Toronto in August. You saw the pictures already (here), and if you are interested in reading reports more on the business perspective, check this out!

Wednesday , Todd challenges us into our bi-weekly Character Sketch Challenge. This week, we had to draw someone in a trade or profession you would not want to see consulting a “….for Dummies” book. I totally missed the part it says: Trade or Professions and I drew a guy on a deserted Island…. Oopsies! But Character Challenges are fun and the Alliance readers are also invited to participate!
Finally, on Thursday, Byron wrote an article, which only him ca do, generating a great discussion thread. He’s touching the subject of how artists not following schedule can be impacting the relationship with our readers. Sounds familiar…..
Cheers!

Hello Drunken Fools!
This weekend, September 10-11th, I will be attending, from the comfort of my home, a fully virtual and digital comic con called The Digi Con!
Are you as puzzled as I was? well, let’s read what the creators of the Digi Con have to say:
Couldn’t go to some of your favorite Comic Cons this year? Neither could we. That’s where DigiCon comes in.
Created by Ryan Fisher of Gin and Comics, DigiCon brings the Con to you with your favorite webcomic creators, comic writers and artists live drawing, doing fan sketches and more throughout the weekend. Get a free sketch, chat with your favorite creators, buy original art, prints, shirts and more! But DigiCon isn’t just once a year, we’ll be throwing “Cons” every few months. Follow us on Twitter @digicon_tweets for future dates!
Check out our Schedule for a list of when creators will be in the Chat, doing a Ustream or a podcast plus other goodies. You can head over to the Store for great comic merch from our “guests” or shop back issues, toys, and more from our merchants. Use our Twitter #DigiCon to get in on the discussion and follow us on Twitter @digicon_tweets. New artists are being added by the minute, so be sure to check back.
Got a favorite creator who you’d like to see? Send them a link to DigiCon. Are you a creator who would like to participate? Are you a merchant who would like to sell your back issues, trades, statues and more? Select Register above!
Just because we can’t be at Con, doesn’t mean we can’t have a great Con weekend.
Come see us this weekend! There will be TONS of amazing artists there during the entire weekend, for Panels Discussions, live drawing, etc…!
Check this out: The Digi Con
Monday’s Pick of the Week:
Todd made me discovered a Sci-Fi webcomic called far from home. If you are a Sci-Fi fan, I would recommend to give this a look!

Tuesday, our dear Crazy Chick Dawn Griffin treated us with another cool article on using Adobe Illustrator for drawing. She went throught he part two of the basics on Illustrator. Uning myself Illustrator to draw my comic, these articles she wrote surely helped me a LOT! Check this out!

Wednesday was time to treat your ears with our Bi-Weekly Webcomic Workshop Podcast. We published our 24th episode to date! We were on fire as we were recapping what were some of the impacts on us during Episodes 11 thru 23. It was a VERY silly epsiode, we had tons of fun (as usual) and we totally added more COWBell!
Finally, on Thursday, we had the privilege to get yet another visit from our Doctor Banner (Ken Drab). The Dr. Banner is a great series of article by Ken where he would look at your comic banner and dissect it, using his marketing and design background. Without Ken’s expertise, my site and marketing goodies wouldn’t be looking the same today!
