Hi there Drunken Fools!
2nd strip in a row with real inking. Sorry if it doesn’t really look that good. I’m learning to use old school tools without stopping the story andn the weekly strips.
Don’t forget to vote for the Elevator Pitch, see the blog below for details or vote on the right-column!
Cheers!

Spike and Stubby were heading to Bob’s bar. Before getting inside, Stubby had a very bad feeling and had the impression somebody was watching them.
Once inside, they realized there was a drinking contest. Obviously Spike HAD to participate.
At the same time, Billy, who got his date canceled with his new girlfriend Sophie, was having all sort of problems trying to go out at the bar.
Spike lost that contest against Calvin (from Y2CL) while in fact, it was Stubby who took Calvin’s form in order to make a prank to Spike.
When Stubby took his original form, he got electrocuted from behind. A strange character is there, with a very strange gun in her hand.
The stranger was talking on the phone, and after a few minutes, everybody in the bar were out cold. And this stranger seems to have a specific goal with Spike.
Hello Drunken Fools.
Wow, it’s been forever since I’ve actually posted a Tanked Tuesday! Anyway. I was doodling last night while doing a couch potato impersonation.
I came up with the doodles below.
1- If there is something I really suck at (besides making a comic) is Logo Creation. I never been able to make good logos for websites. So I doodled the logos below. What do you think? I am (slowly) revamping the site and I need a logo. Would this “prototype” be a good one to use and work with?
2- The 9-1-1 guy: Remember this dude? He appeared in an early story when Spike hurt himself while breaking Steve’s pool diving board (See this strip here). Well, there is a slight chance he will show up again in the future, so I thought I would re-draw him to match my improved style. I may re-design him a bit, kinda looks like Bob in I’m Not Bob
3- Finally, don’t ask why (you’ll know soon), I drew a version of Kurt Sasso, host of TGT Webcomics podcast and fellow colleague at Webcomic Planet. I will be announcing something involving Kurt and The Drunken Fools soon and I need a comic version of him. He doesn’t even saw it yet. Shhhhhhh don’t tell him, it’s a secret!!
FYI, NO, he will not become a character in the comic, the man can’t stand his liquor

Cheers!

Hi guys,
when I started this comic I always told myself I would always write blogs with content that fits with the Comics, or at least booze oriented.
But in fact, sometimes there are events out of our control.
So, please, if you are reading this and that you are a webcomic artist/writer/reader/groupie/etc.. and still asking yourself if you should pay the 30$ subscription to webcomic.com, FORGET IT! Please give that money for Haiti. At least the 30$ will REALLY help someone.
No need for Webcomics.com, there are webcomic community gathering today in order to help each other and evolve as a webcomic community (Webcomic Planet is one of them).
PLEASE, help Haiti!
NOTE: If you already paid the 30$ to webcomics.com, you still can help Haiti you know?
Thank you, I know you will do the good thing

Hi there Drunken Fools!
The Fools are back tomorrow but I wanted to take the time to wish you all a very warm Happy New Year 2010!
2009 has been fun, ended with some rough personal issues but hopefully, 2010 will be a great year for all of us.
I would like to thank you for supporting me so far and I hope my new direction towards more storyline content (versus gag-a day type of comic) will please you
Resolutions? I’m not that good at making and keeping resolutions but what I can say is I’m here to stay this year. Making this comic is a hobby and as long as I’ll be having fun making it, the Fools will party all night long!
A few things that will happen this year:
- A total website revamp will occur this month
- Some new cool features other than the comic (such as beer and wine critics by Spike)
One thing that may happen this year:
- the 1st Drunken Fools book
- As we speak, Kurt Sasso, colleague at the Webcomic Planet Collective and host of the great podcast TGT Webcomics, is almost done with the writing of a kick-ass script about Stubby’s origins
- This story will be included in the book but not on the web (well, not this year for sure)
- Some elements of the current storyline will be directly linked to this story
- The book would also include the current storyline and some other stories already published but redrawn and re-written for the book. Some of you may say, don’t do that, keep your old stuff, etc.. don’t get me wrong, I will always cherish my old stuff but I just want to provide a book that will include a lot of exclusive content.
- The reason why I said “may happened this year” is that it will involve so many work from me. That will mean that I would have to produce at least 2 pages a week (the strip for the web, and 1 page for the book). One bad side of me is that I’m a lazy ass and can be easily demotivated and I also have a very demanding day job (both on time and mental energy). I will need all your help this year
Once again all, Happy New Year and see ya tomorrow!
Cheers

Happy Hangover Drunken Fools!
Ok, I was playing in old archives folders while on a conference call and I found this picture of the real life Spike!
I wanted to post that a very long time ago but couldn’t find the picture. Now here it is, the man who influenced me in creating Spike, a real life Drunken Fool! (for the sake of him, I won’t mention his name
)

Cheers!

Hi there Sober Fools!
In Canada, the current legal percentage of alcohol in our blood for driving is set to 0.08%. It has been that way for as long as I can remember.
Recently, the Government presented a new regulation in order to bring it down to 0.05%. So obviously, we will hear about it for the next couple of months, the Opposition will probably find all kind of reason NOT to vote for it, etc.. blabla
And of course, in the population, people are starting to protest against it.
GIVE ME A BREAK A FRACKING BREAK! Why are these people so angry?!?!? The reason why they want to reduce it is to try to reduce the amount of deaths caused by drunk drivers.
I’m not going to write a huge novel about this. But I will say this:
SIMPLY DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE!
Why losing your breath by protesting against this?
People are driving me nuts sometimes…. any stupid reasons in order to bitch about the Government (hey I hate our current Government, don’t get me wrong).
Anyway, with the Holidays coming, drink responsibly!
Cheers!

Wooa Drunken Fools!
Ok, as stated on Sunday, I’m trying to get back on track on my weekly features.
Here’s a work in progress sketch of the Fools’ town at night. See the Sign? Yup, Bob’s Bar

You should see this finalized on Sunday’s strip

Hi there Drunken Fools!
A bit late today with my weekly fan art but here it is!
It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Eldon’s Astray 3 webcomic. So what would happen if Mr. Featherstone was left alone with Spike…. only bad things!!!
Hope you enjoy this one! I really liked drawing Mr. Featherstone!

And make sure you go see Astray 3, if you haven’t yet!

Cheers!
